My journey across the waves of sound has brought me to the SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro Wireless Headphones. It’s amazing to think that in my youth, high-quality headphones were something of a rarity—reserved only for those with the most money or advanced setups. But nowadays, almost anyone can have access to audio options that enhance their listening experiences.
The Cove Pro Wireless Headphones are one such set of headphones, offering a pretty sophisticated unit at a pretty affordable price point. They’re a pretty stylish, low-frills pair of headphones that offer potential users a decent entry point into the high-end headphones, whether it be for gaming, music or media.

The first thing users may notice about the SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro Wireless Headphones is their relatively lightweight feel. Clocking in at around 251g, the frame itself is both sturdy and comfortable, although I can’t help but feel like it has a somewhat hollowness to it that makes it feel a bit brittle. It’s a strange thing, because the rest of the unit is pretty solid. The earcups have a smooth matte finish, and the memory foam padding on both the cups and headpiece provides solid comfort, alongside bolstering the noise-cancelling capabilities.

Thankfully, the Cove Pro Wireless Headphones offer users full audio control from buttons located on the right earcup. Obviously, there are the power and ANC buttons and volume +/-, but each of these buttons offers users separate features based on whether they use a double-tap or long-press. Coming off the Final UX5000 Wireless Headphones, it did feel a bit cumbersome compared to a simple directional button; however, its functionality made using the headphones incredibly convenient.
But a less-than-stellar frame can be forgiven if the sound quality is on point, and thankfully, the Cove Pro Wireless Headphones offer this in spades. Utilizing a frequency response of 20 kHz alongside its 40mm titanium driver and magnet system delivers clear and dynamic audio across a broad range of usage. When I first tested the unit, I wanted to try it with something simple yet nuanced, so I put on the Club Master Battle from Pokémon TCG.

I was genuinely surprised that I was noticing little elements of the song that I had not noticed before during the hundreds of times I’d listened to it. And while listening to more complex arrangements provided a similar level of clarity and quality, every now and then, when listening to something with a bit more intensity, like System of a Down or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, I couldn’t help but notice a little bit of audio crackle.
However, this is a small issue, since audio balance can be adjusted via the SOUNDPEATS companion app; it is something that users may want to look out for if they’re using the Cove Pro Headphones with more basic settings. But this is something I only noticed with certain music; while testing the headphones during game sessions, they were remarkably crisp.
“Honestly, in the weeks of testing, I don’t think I needed to charge the Cove Pro Headphones once.”
This was enhanced by the Cove Pro Wireless Headphones’ combination noise cancellation, which uses the design of the earcups’ padding alongside seven microphones and an advanced algorithm to cancel outside noise up to 56dB. Not only that, but users can customize their ANC profile while using the SOUNDPEATS companion app, allowing for a wide range of scenarios that fit their needs.
If you’re familiar with my reviews, then you’ll know my usual go-to for testing headphones is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild—and while playing this, the Cove Pro Wireless headphones didn’t disappoint. The vast array of ambient effects, combined with Breath of the Wild’s eclectic music, came across clear and precise. Not only that, but the unit was incredibly simple to set up with my Nintendo Switch 2, thanks to a simple auto-pairing mode, and once it was connected, the Cove Pro’s Bluetooth 6 connection provided audio with no latency.

This is backed by a solid battery that can provide users with up to 95 hours of listening time on a full charge. Honestly, in the weeks of testing, I don’t think I needed to charge the Cove Pro Headphones once—for a moment, I even forgot that these things needed to be charged in the first place. What’s more, when they did need to be charged, they powered up extremely fast, with a 10-minute charge offering roughly 11 hours of playback time.
Despite a few small complaints, the SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro Wireless Headphones are a pretty sophisticated pair of headphones that suit a broad range of uses. For a price point of $69.99 (or roughly $95.27 CAD), they’re a solid choice for anyone who wants the quality of a high-end pair of headphones but may not be ready to dip their toes into the more extravagant waters.
