Robot vacuums are a fantastic idea on the whole, as they allow you to clean your floors while you tend to other things, like working from home or playing with your kids. Add in the ability to mop the floors as well, and you’ve hit a home run there, right? In theory, yes, but does the idea hold up in practice? The Yeedi S14 Plus seeks to answer that question and many more by being one of the best robot vacuums on the market today.
As always, we start with the unboxing, and while it may not be as exciting as the POCO X7 Pro Iron Man phone, the S14 Plus still rises to the occasion. Make no mistake, this package is a big boi. Containing the vacuum itself and the storage unit, it’s definitely not small, with the box able to fit my entire 5-and-a-half-year-old daughter inside with space to spare. The storage unit is broken down into three components: the unit itself and the two water tanks (clean and dirty water, respectively).
Additionally, the S14 Plus weighs in at a hefty 37 pounds for all the components put together, which may sound like a lot, but you’re not really going to be picking up the entire unit and taking it along with you everywhere, so it’s a bit of a moot point. The vacuum, on the other hand, has some decent weight to it, as it has a lot of components built in.
Chief among the parts is the new OZMO Roller system that utilizes ultra-high pressure and speed to help make sure that the roller brush stays clean. This helps prevent streaks on your floors when mopping and is a significant improvement over the dual spinning mop brush that previous models employed. Combined with on-board roller brush cleaning, the S14 Plus ensures that you are always cleaning with a clean brush.

According to Yeedi, the OZMO Roller system passes the roller mop brush through a kind of scraper to remove dirt and then adds fresh, clean water to the brush through 16 different nozzles. All of this happens approximately 200 times per minute, and in my experience with it, I didn’t see a single streak or stain left behind in the nearly 2 months I’ve had the vacuum at the time of writing.
The storage base works in tandem to assist in this regard as well, offering hot water mop washing at 75 degrees Celsius and 63 degrees Celsius mop drying. The S14 Plus uses a 360-degree hot air drying system to clean and dry the mop roller brush in about two hours after cleaning has concluded. This was one of the complaints I had after a long time of using the Yeedi M12 Pro+, as the mop brushes were always wet hours and hours after cleaning had finished, and it was because the brushes weren’t really moving, but Yeedi has remedied that with the S14 Plus.
One of the things that really sold me on the Yeedi S14 Plus was the ZeroTangle 2.0 Anti-Tangle technology that Yeedi has implemented. One of the biggest issues in my home with robot vacuums is cat fur. With the S14 Plus, cat fur was no issue whatsoever, and I never found that I needed to clean the vacuum roller brush as a direct result of the cat fur it was collecting.
In fact, I can count on one hand the number of times that I had to go clean the roller brush in the middle of its scheduled cleaning due to clogs or inability to rotate, and they weren’t even from fur or hair, it was from small abandoned toys that we forgot to clean up the night before prior to bedtime.
The Yeedi S14 Plus robot vacuum also employs something Yeedi are calling the TruEdge 2.0 Adaptive Edge Cleaning system. This is an edge sensing technology that allows the robot to get closer than ever to 100% coverage in your home. The robot is fitted with a front-structured light to help navigate around corners and around obstacles while getting as close as possible to maintain coverage of an area.
In my experience with the S14 Plus, the robot did give great coverage of the areas in my home that we had it set to clean. There were a couple of areas that it struggled to navigate around, namely around the kitchen table and chairs, as there are a lot of things there to get around. A couple of times, I had to go over and adjust the position of a chair so the robot could move again, but that was infrequent at worst.
As for the mopping feature, it worked quite well actually. The OZMO Roller system didn’t leave any streaks on the floor and covered the areas that it needed to, ignoring the various rugs that we have and getting everything else. This is an improvement over the M12 Pro+, as with that model, there were various areas that would just get neglected due to their proximity to the previously mentioned kitchen table and chairs.

I do have a couple of minor issues with the S14 Plus, however. First is going to be the speed at which the robot actually cleans. I have a modestly sized apartment for my family of four, and we have the robot scheduled to begin vacuuming only at 9:00 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through the app (more on the app later). The robot just finished vacuuming the apartment in approximately 2 hours, and that’s without mopping!
This is all well and good if you have the time to let it run while you go to work for the day or if you work from home (the unit is actually pretty quiet, relatively speaking), but if you need to clean something quick before company arrives, then you may want to keep a regular vacuum handy as well.
My second gripe is the price. There is no way to sugarcoat it, so let’s just say it: the price is $1399.99 USD. That seems to be quite excessive, in my opinion. At the time of writing, it is on sale for $949.99 through Amazon, which I think is a far more appropriate price for the unit.
The S14 Plus has an app that you can use to set the scheduled cleaning, whether you want it to vacuum, mop, vacuum and mop, choose how fast, how strong, etc. The app works perfectly and shows you a map of your home, allowing you to set different zones, rooms, and more. In terms of usability, the Yeedi app is the easiest app I’ve ever used, as it tells you any maintenance the robot requires, where it’s stuck, etc.
Overall, the Yeedi S14 Plus is a fantastic robot vacuum and mop that would make a fine addition to any home where you want to eliminate two tedious tasks from your to-do list. Gripes about price and cleaning speed aside, I can recommend the S14 Plus, as it does its job very well, and you barely even notice its existence.
