Activision Gives First Look at Call of Duty: WWII 1

Activision and Sledgehammer Games provided a first look at the newest Call of Duty title, Call of Duty: WWII.

In a worldwide reveal stream shown today, Activision and Sledgehammer Games introduced Call of Duty: WWII’s gameplay and story to the world. Call of Duty: WWII returns the series to its roots, depicting one of the greatest military conflicts in history, The Second World War. The new Call of Duty title promises gritty realism, authenticity and cinematic intensity on an epic scale. Activision’s new title will tell an honest story from the perspective of the famed first Infantry Division, featuring a diverse cast. Players will storm across historical battlefields such as the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, travel through France to reclaim Paris before ultimately pushing into Germany.

The game will offer a host of multiplayer modes, including an all-new “Nazi Zombies Cooperative mode” that will introduce a new storyline and a startling experience. Call of Duty: WWII’s multiplayer will deliver a new approach to its character and create-a-class features through divisions and an all new narrative multiplayer mode along with a Headquarters, a first of its kind for the Call of Duty community, designed for players to interact and socialize. Activision will be showing off more of the game’s multiplayer and cooperative Nazi Zombies mode at E3 later this year.

Call of Duty: WWII pre-orders at participating retailers will allow players access to the game’s Private Beta, available first on PlayStation 4, scheduled for later this year. The game will be available in three different versions. The standard game comes with only the base game. The digital deluxe edition of the game will include the season pass with a few more unannounced bonuses. There will also be a pro edition that will come in a steel case along with the season pass and more unannounced bonuses.

Call of Duty: WWII will launch November 3, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
