The TV is the centre of entertainment in most homes, and to finish a TV’s loadout, Amazon has unveiled new Fire TV products that can complete any room.
Finding a new show to watch, or the next obsession to binge over the weekend, shouldn’t be a challenge, and that’s what Amazon is attempting to make easy for users with their new Fire TV product lineup revealed today. Amazon pulled out all the stops to reveal the new Amazon Ember Artline (a smart TV solution that transforms into a customizable art display when not in use) and the all-new Fire TV Stick HD. That’s not all that was announced. Amazon also revealed a redesigned user interface that is cleaner, faster, and better organized for customers (which will be released at the end of the month and will be available for the new product line).
First up, the Fire TV Stick HD, which comes with a new Fire TV user interface and Alexa+ built in, arrives in its slimmest form factor yet (30% slimmer than the previous model), and Amazon designed it as such so users can easily fit it into a carry-on (or even a handbag) when travelling. The new device is optimized to use the TV’s power (when plugged into USB), so users will not need to secure an extra outlet to plug it into. With Alexa+ now onboard, users who get trapped by endless searching can use Alexa+ AI recommendations to find their next big watch. For TVs that don’t have USB ports to plug into, users can use a USB-C adapter to power up. The new Fire TV Stick HD is available now for $34.99/
The new Amazon Ember Artline is a full-blown TV that doubles as a wall gallery and includes a global collection of more than 2,000 curated art pieces that it can shuffle on display. As a display art piece, the TV can stay static, slide from art piece to art piece, or users can use an AI feature ‘match the room’ which allows the display to fit in neatly regardless of purpose. Like the Fire TV Stick HD, Alexa+ is built-in and can help users select shows or artwork to adorn the wall when the TV is taking a break. The Amazon Ember Artline is available in 10 different frame colours, and 55-inch and 65-inch models starting at $899.99 (USD). Artline will start shipping to customers on April 22 in the U.S. and Canada, and on May 7 in the UK and Germany.
