After a week of teasing, Batman Beyond has finally been unleashed in Fortnite‘s Item Shop, accompanied by a LEGO version and a glider, and is available for a limited time.
Like every other Fortnite Item Shop addition, Batman Beyond was introduced by a week full of trickled-out leaks and teases that fans were salivating over, and today, fans can enter Battle Royale as the young protege of Bruce Wayne. Like most other additions to the outfit closet, Batman Beyond comes with a LEGO variant, and his signature glider that forgoes the Kevin Conroy-esque cape of the Animated Series. Instead, the suit uses a futuristic suit with a glider built in.
Fortnite has uncorked a whole mess of Batman Beyond goodies for fans to jump into Battle Royale with the new Batman Beyond Bundle. Like teases and ‘leaks’ have suggested, the new Batman is joining the new Joker on Battle Island. Joker, as he appears in Batman Beyond, is also making the jump to Battle Royale and his outfit is included in the Item Shop bundle.
Sadly enough for fans of the animated Batman Beyond series, Terry McGinnis’ video game outings have been limited to one release, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (2000). Outside of that, Batman Beyond has been used as a skin in LEGO Batman, Batman Arkham Knight, and now, Fortnite. On the flip side, fans can now run a Fortnite match with seven total Batman outfits to hit Battle Royale with, but sadly no Old Bruce Wayne addition.
Included in the bundle are: Batman Beyond and Joker outfits for Fortnite (and their LEGO counterparts), Batarang and Joker-in-the-Box back bling, a stylish emote for watchers over Gotham City, a 3 Jokerz Monte gun wrap, a Batman Beyond flavoured pickaxe and a Joker Jolly Jack Sledge pickaxe to bonk opponents with.
Up until the bundle hit the Item Shop, X (formerly Twitter) user (and ‘leaker’ partnered with Epic Games) ShiinaBR took to socials to leak everything in the bundle before it dropped today. If all of the leaks posted are correct, that means fans will have a few more surprises to look forward to going into the holiday week. A Santa-outfit Sabrina Carpenter is alleged to “drop tonight,” alongside Lexa. ShiinaBR also pointed out “new miku, bleach, spongebob, batman beyond, sabrina, and lexa all within 4 days,” so it appears fans might see more items hit the market this week.
Fans looking to snag the Batman Beyond Bundle should do so fast, as it will exit the Item Shop on December 28.
