It appears no crossover is too out of bounds in gaming, as today the newly relabeled Rainbow Six Siege X has teased a Borderlands collaboration for July 15.
Ubisoft has revealed yet another crossover event for one of its major franchises today. Ubisoft is no stranger to lending out licenses for titles to feature its characters (Ezio Auditore de Firenze was on the Soul Caliber V roster), and today, the publisher has teased a different kind of crossover for the newly rebranded Rainbow Six Siege X. While many crossovers have also came and went for Rainbow Six Siege before the X, today, a Borderlands collaboration has been teased by Ubisoft’s official social channels. The Borderlands teaser can be seen below, posted by the official Rainbow Six Siege X X(formerly Twitter) account.
Rainbow Six Siege has seen many crossovers before it adopted the Siege X moniker. The shooter has deployed skins based on the Halo franchise, Dead by Daylight, Resident Evil, Prime Video’s The Boys, and even Rick & Morty, so a Borderlands crossover two months removed from the September release of Borderlands 4 fits, even though the only thing both titles share is the FPS perspective. Previous collaborations have given players the ability to reskin their operator (like the Master Chief skin available for Sledge) and it appears the iconic Psycho from Pandora is joining the fray as a skin option for an unnamed operator, as one of the many can be is seen dropping a Siege-branded Zippo lighter in the teaser.

While it could be fun to speculate based on past Rainbow Six Siege X collaborations, Gearbox Software and Ubisoft haven’t officially revealed anything regarding the collaboration outside the launch date on July 15. So, fans should take any speculation with a grain of salt until the day arrives. It’s worth mentioning, Ubisoft is also ending its Ubisoft Photomode Contest 2025 on July 15, so fans looking to make any last-minute submissions should do so before the final bell.
