Assassin’s Creed Ezio Collection Appears on Korean Ratings Board

It appears that a new Assassin’s Creed collection could be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, according to a brand new listing by the Korean ratings board.

The rating (discovered by NeoGAF user catmario) calls the unannounced compilation “The Ezio Collection,” referring to Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. While the listing doesn’t specify what games are in the collection, it likely means that all three of Ezio’s adventures will be making their way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the near future, having previously only been available on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

This means that Ezio’s games may be getting a remastered touch-up as they come to more powerful hardware, not unlike Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, which made the jump from PlayStation Vita to PC and consoles back in 2013.

Should it launch before year’s end, Ubisoft may be releasing this compilation to ensure an Assassin’s Creed game is on the market in 2016, having announced earlier this year that it would be holding off on launching a brand new game in the series as has been tradition for the company since 2009. Instead, Ubisoft will be launching a film adaptation of the series featuring an original story and characters on December 21st. X-Men: First Class actor Michael Fassbender will star in the film as a descendant of the Assassins the series revolves around, who will be forced into the Animus to relive his ancestors memories of the Spanish Inquisition.

While the last mainline game in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, was released at the end of last year, Ubisoft released three side-scrolling spin-offs as part of mini-series called Assassin’s Creed: Chronicles. These included China, India and Russia.
