The much-anticipated expansion for CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has finally been announced and will be available in 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Stadia platforms.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will introduce a new set of characters for V to interact with, as well as a new location within Night City. Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves will also be reprising his role as rebel rocker Johnny Silverhand.

“Johnny Silverhand is coming back and so am I,” Reeves explained in a video message about Phantom Liberty. “Get ready for Phantom Liberty, the upcoming expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. It’s awesome to be back playing the role of Johnny and I hope you’re excited to see him rock it out once more in the dark future. Keep an eye out for more info, and I’ll see you again in Night City.”
Cyberpunk 2077’s Edgerunners update, or Patch 1.6, is bringing a bunch of new features and content to the game from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime. The update will bring items seen in the anime, including the jacket worn by anime protagonist David Martinez. The update will also add a clothing transmog system, cross-platform progression, and more. It was also outlined that Edgerunners will be the last update supported by the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Cyberpunk 2077.
This is all in the run-up to the new Netflix anime series that is slated to launch on September 13th. Set in a tech-saturated future, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners follows the story of a street kid who will do whatever it takes to make it in the city. With nothing left to lose, he chooses to become an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk. 10 standalone episodes showcase the trials and tribulations of this street kid turned edgerunner as he tries to survive in a world that’s completely different from anything he’s ever known.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available for purchase on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, Epic Games, and GOG platforms, as well as Stadia.
