Elgato is known for its quality streaming peripherals and innovations in technology, and today, CORSAIR has unveiled the new Elgato Prompter, the latest peripheral to enhance video production.
With this latest device, all streamers and content creators could potentially have access to professional-grade video production. The Elgato Prompter can connect streamers to their audience more organically by maintaining a level of eye contact with the audience, while streamers are able to read their live chat at a whim, similar to that of newscasters.
The prompter itself connects to the user’s workstation seamlessly and utilizes Elgato’s free Camera Hub software to mesh with most other peripherals. What separates the Elgato Prompter from others is that it doesn’t need another tablet or smartphone for compatibility since the screen is built in. While the new Prompter obviously works best with almost all of Elgato’s peripherals, it is also compatible with most webcams, so streamers/content creators looking into obtaining one can rest assured they will likely not have to buy a new webcam for use. Streamers, Creators, and even professionals who use Microsoft Teams or Zoom Meetings can simply drag and drop their meeting onto the Prompter, and seamlessly, users are at eye level with their audience. Even those looking to ditch meetings in favour of watching a Bundesliga match can drop the match right onto the screen without missing a beat.
