The Final Battle Begins

The Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Film Is Coming Out Soon

The first of three Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba films will be coming out as early as August 2025.

The wait and speculation are over! Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced the international theatrical release dates for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle. They dropped a list of the release dates for specific countries and the days they are released. For North America, Demon Slayer fans can head to theatres beginning September 12th, 2025. The movie will be out both in Japanese with English subtitles and an English dub, as well as released in IMAX and other premium large formats.

Haruo Sotozaki returns to direct the movie, as he directed both the series and film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train. He will be joined by the Ufotable team who have animated the whole series since its release in 2019. This will be the first of three films depicting the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan Kibutsuji, along with the remaining Twelve Kizuki members. It is expected to be screened in 443 theatres all across the world.

Tanjiro Kamada, Nezuko, and the Hashira were last seen engaged in a group strength-training program. Their training was interrupted when Muzan, the demon leader, attacked the Ubuyashiki Mansion to confront Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps. When chaos ensued at the mansion, Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps were randomly transported throughout the demons’ hidden stronghold, the Infinity Castle. This is the final stage for the final battles between humans and demons.

The Infinity Castle has been teased for so long throughout the series, and fans have been waiting a while to see these final fights. Most of the Hashira have not shown their true powers, so this film will be a more fleshed-out look at their power scales. But even more mysterious, numerous members of the Twelve Kizuki demons still have not been in any fights yet. Overall, this movie should be showcasing interactions and fights that the anime series fans have never seen before. Even those who finished the manga should be delighted to see these fights play out in colour.
