Earlier in the year, the best of Escape From Tarkov‘s four endings was detailed as “really challenging,” and one player realized the grind to escape is arduous.
Since November 15, Escape From Tarkov has entered version 1.0 and is an official release, which means the previously teased main story and its four endings are also now part of the game. Back in September, the Tarkov game director Nikita Buyanov spoke about the new content coming to the title with the official 1.0 release, and in this Q&A at the Tokyo Game Show 2025, he talked about the four different endings of the main questline (added with version 1.0).

Nikita Buyanov said “For those who want to achieve, or want to escape with the best ending, it will be really hard and actually not everyone will escape from Tarkov at all,” adding, “I think it will be something around 2% of all the player base [will escape] so it will be really hard, it will be really challenging, and you can treat it as an achievement of your life” about the newly minted endings that allow players to literally Escape From Tarkov. Last evening, one popular Tarkov player, Tigz, discovered how much it will cost to achieve one of the endings, and they posted their findings on X (found by Insider Gaming). That post can be seen below.
One of the endings that allows a player to Escape From Tarkov requires a whopping 500 million roubles (Tarkov‘s in-game currency). The grind needed for a player to achieve that number is apparently staggering, according to fans over on Reddit. Most players agree that to earn that amount of currency, you’d need “unlimited time,” and one fan called the number “simply ridiculous.” Fans under the Twitter post laughed at the requirement, saying “thousands” of runs would be needed. Other fans on both forums called it disappointing.
Escape From Tarkov entered version 1.0 on November 15, and more information can be found on the official website.
