Electronic Arts has lifted the curtain on the next installment of their Formula 1 racing series, F1 25, with Lewis Hamilton set to adorn the cover.
The official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, F1 25, has been revealed by Electronic Arts. This new chapter in Formula 1 racing marks the series’ debut on the newest generation of consoles and PC, leaving the PS4 and Xbox One behind for the first time since the launch of the Xbox Series S/X and PS5.
The latest installment continues the fan-favourite story mode, Braking Point, with Konnersport now in the hot seat competing for championships. Taking player feedback into account, F1 25 introduces multiple difficulty settings for Braking Point, allowing newcomers to jump into the action while accommodating returning veterans. A release trailer has been provided by EA and can be seen below.
Senior Creative Director at Codemasters, Lee Mather, says, “F1 25 delivers more ways for players to experience Formula 1 and race their way, from the drama of Braking Point to making headlines in the pursuit of World Championship glory.” He continues, “This year, there are new opportunities for players to connect, collaborate, and compete like never before. We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.”
In addition to the difficulty setting changes to Braking Point, F1 25 introduces notable updates to the popular game mode, My Team. Players can take on new responsibilities as the owner of their own Formula 1 racing team before jumping into the driver’s seat on the track. EA SPORTS boasts increased circuit authenticity made possible through LIDAR technology, adding a lifelike look and feel to each turn. While further advancements are teased for this fan-favourite game mode, Electronic Arts is keeping them under wraps for the time being.

Ferrari Racer, Lewis Hamilton said to ESPN “Moving to Scuderia Ferrari HP is such an exciting new chapter of my career, and it feels incredible to have this moment represented on the EA SPORTS F1 25 Iconic Edition cover,” continuing with “I’m so energized and hungry for this next part of my Formula One story and love that racing fans and players get to experience that with me through the game.” The racer’s unprecedented move from Mercedes to Ferrari is considered one of the biggest driver lineup changes in recent years by experts of Formula 1, making it the ideal choice for Electronic Arts to celebrate on F1 25‘s front cover during Formula 1’s 75th anniversary.
EA SPORTS F1 25 will be available on May 30, 2025. The title will race onto PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Racers who own F1 23 or F1 24 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, through the EA app, Epic Games or Steam can take advantage of a 15% pre-order loyalty discount off the Iconic Edition.
