Fallout (3 or New Vegas) Remaster rumours have continued to slam the internet since Anniversary Edition was announced, and today it hit a boiling point.
Posted four days ago via LinkedIn (and only catching fire today), a developer from Iron Galaxy Studios hit the media feed to release a photo that has driven the internet mad with speculation. It is now speculated that Iron Galaxy Studios will helm the development of the often rumoured Fallout 3 or New Vegas Remaster project. Iron Galaxy Studios most recently launched the remastered versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 and helped co-develop Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, so it wouldn’t be the first time they’ve gotten under the hood of a remaster.
Let’s be clear, no remaster announcement regarding Fallout has been confirmed by any of the bigwigs at Bethesda Softworks or Iron Galaxy Studios. It’s just an innocent-seeming photo featuring a desktop screen in an office setting, sporting iconic imagery stapled to Fallout 3 or New Vegas loading screens, next to a logo for the company. The post can be found here, and the image can be seen below.

The Fallout New Vegas-hopefuls were recently stirred by remaster rumours after the Prime Video series elected to bring the live-action to the wastes of New Vegas, and this post has just supercharged those rumours. Iron Galaxy Studios is not known for helping develop any of the mainline Fallout video game titles so far (or the Prime Video series), so the post is a bit head-scratching.
This post could have been looked at as “Someone at Iron Galaxy Studios is hitting the wasteland today!” but the caption reads “Today’s our February company meeting. It’s time to catch up with what the company’s been up to and what’s coming up next for IG,” right on top of the photo. The team even posted the photo on other social media, spreading the rumour far and wide.
However, Iron Galaxy Studios has helped co-develop the MMORPG, Fallout 76, a game that is still making expansions and updates into 2026. Fallout 76 is scheduled to bring a new “out of this world” season to the wastes of Appalachia, and it lands today. The LinkedIn post is from four days ago, so it’s possible the post was talking about Fallout 76, and not a remaster.
While speculation is fun regarding upcoming developments, the photo, Bethesda Softworks, or Iron Galaxy Studios have not confirmed remasters for the Xbox 360/PS3 generation of Fallout titles, so fans should take all rumours with a grain of salt until a concrete statement is made.
