Final Destination Bloodlines Dusts Off Franchise's Iconic Log Truck in Celebration of Film Release

With only one week remaining until Final Destination: Bloodlines hits theatres, Warner Bros. Pictures Canada is celebrating with a truck that has changed many on-road behaviours since the release of the second film.

Final Destination: Bloodlines is the sixth entry in the ongoing Final Destination horror franchise of films, and Warner Bros. is yet again trying to stop drivers in Canada from feeling relaxed on the road.

For the uninitiated, the second entry in the franchise (Final Destination 2) featured an iconic, terrifying scene that included heavy traffic on a highway (which could be a nightmare for most drivers) and a truck with a questionably secured lumber payload. As the scene unfolds, anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Many deaths occur due to the chaos following logs rolling off the back of the truck. One memorable scene has a log explode through a windshield, eviscerating a helpless driver in the driver’s seat.

This is the terror Warner Bros. Pictures Canada is looking to recapture with their latest Final Destination: Bloodlines ad campaign. In celebration of the film’s release on May 16, a bloodied log truck will be making the rounds across major highways and downtown locations in Ontario and Quebec. The truck will be deployed from today, May 9, until Victoria Day on May 19. Fans will notice a cheeky bumper sticker on the back of the truck that asks drivers-in-wait “How’s my driving?”

Final Destination Bloodlines utilizes the same formula as the previous films in the franchise. College student Stefanie has a vision that pre-empts certain death in a horrific accident and prevents tragedy. A series of unsuspecting accidents “target” survivors for what Death itself is owed, their lives.
