Fortnite is baked with countless crossovers and collaborations. Based on notable leakers, Fortnite’s next crossover may be bringing The Simpsons to the island. While many leaks were simple rumours, there were some solid hits. Epic Games invested a lot into Fortnite’s crossovers, so The Simpsons update could be another banger. Still, even Insider Gaming noted that these leaks should not be too hopeful.
The latest Star Wars content showed that Epic Games has been working diligently to bring dynamic experiences with their collaborative worlds. Some of the swirling, rumoured future crossovers included Kirby in the mix, along with adding in Superman and Robin. To which, the latter was true. Robin and Superman skins were added to Chapter 6 Season 3: Super.
In recent weeks, many outed Fortnite leaks have turned out to be true. But two of the bigger stories have been a potential bug invasion and The Simpsons. Both @SentinelCentral and @djlorenzouasset think new content in Fortnite acknowledged both rumours. In Utopia City, you can find posters featuring pink, glazed donuts with bugs on them. This neatly ties into the bug invasion and The Simpsons rumors. The pink, rainbow-sprinkled donuts are synonymous with The Simpsons.
@djlorenzouasset posted on Twitter/X today: “In Utopia City, you can find this poster in a room. Since the ‘bug invasion’ theme is confirmed for next season, and we have a Simpsons mini-season right after, this poster could be an in-game teaser for them.” Other Fortnite leakers added that the supposed ‘mini-season’ could also feature a small map of Springfield—the primary setting of The Simpsons.
According to the popular leaker ShiinaBR, Chapter 6 Season 4 may include an alien invasion that will finish the story of Chapter 6. Afterward, Epic Games may launch its Simpsons mini-season while fans await the arrival of Chapter 7, which could include a season with Norse themes. Multiple leakers discussed how Fortnite would feature more Fox properties, as it already showcased skins from Family Guy in the past.
With the Star Wars collab over, Epic Games recently announced that it will be adding content based on the popular franchise to the Unreal Editor. Even though there was no release date set, Epic Games stated the tools will allow gamers to create their own experiences using iconic Star Wars characters, locations, and weapons. To date, the Fortnite crossovers continue to hit with its player base. Again, The Simpsons collab should be taken with a grain of salt, but fans can cross their fingers.
