ANANTA

Kicking off the lineup, NetEase Games and Naked Rain announced that the free-to-play urban open-world RPG, ANANTA, launches in 2027 on an official PC client, Steam, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms. In addition to the launch date, the team has shared that the title has achieved over 17 million pre-registrations across 110 countries and regions, and showcased a new trailer highlighting Chongxiao, the second major city for players to roam.

Inspired by Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Tokyo, players take on the role of an Influencer in a city controlled by algorithms and online culture in ANANTA. As players explore the world, they can build their reputation and social influence, and unlock resources and perks by completing missions, crises, and citywide adventures. Additionally, players can recruit a wide cast of agents to rebuild the A.C.D team and switch between playable characters, as each recruited character features a unique perspective, storyline, exploration, and combat. Not to mention, with dynamic martial arts combat, players can utilize the surrounding and everyday objects as they fight various enemies.

Alongside battling and building reputation, ANANTA offers many activities for players to participate in, including visiting a wide variety of locations such as cinemas, mahjong, arcades, gyms, and more, travelling the city with many types of vehicles from car to yacht, and building a Yeet Squad by recruiting 100+ NPCs with their own stories and quests. Launching in 2027, ANANTA pre-registration is available on the official website.

Sea of Remnants

Developed by Joker Studios and published by NetEase Games, the team has released a new Sea of Remnants trailer showcasing the setting of the upcoming title and announced that it will enter closed beta testing in December 2026. As a puppetfolk sailor without memories, players embark on a journey to recover their forgotten memories by exploring the city of Orbtopia and many mysterious islands.

Presented during the gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live, the new Sea of Remnants trailer explores why a Voyager with no memories keeps returning to the same oceans, showcasing the Set Sail-Explore-Collect-Return gameplay loop, the environments across various islands, minigames, turn-based combat, and naval encounters as players sail the sea. Additionally, being a roguelike title, players will need to adapt to new strategies as each voyage will change the enemies, bosses, crewmates, equipment, skills, and enhancements.

Sea of Remnants is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, Android, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, with pre-registration available now on the official website.

Alongside the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S launch, Once Human showcased their biggest expansion yet, the Ocean Expansion: ISLE OF ABYSS, inviting players to explore the islands, ocean surfaces, and the deep sea. However, the ocean is a living entity. As players travel across the sea, they will encounter watchtowers, ghost ships, and mechanical behemoths that lie deep in the ocean. Starting with a wooden raft, players must do everything they can to survive the harsh conditions of the sea, from building their Exclusive Sea Fortress to upgrading their mobile maritime sanctuary. Once Human’s upcoming expansion, Ocean Expansion: ISLE OF ABYSS, launches in October 2026 across all platforms.

Following its November 14, 2025 launch, NetEase Games and Everstone Studio announced that Where Winds Meet has surpassed 100 million players worldwide. To celebrate the milestone, the team shared that the conclusion of the Hidden Mountain storyline, Hidden Mountain Chapter 3, will launch on September 16, 2026. During the saga’s conclusion, players will delve into the storm to seek the truth. However, the rival factions must face an ultimate choice after the outsiders’ arrival and the revelation of hidden secrets. Additionally, players will confront their long-awaited nemesis, Qianye, following the tragedy at Blissful Retreat. Lastly, the update features two special Bosses, two open-world field Bosses, and many gameplay features and activities.

In addition to the saga’s final chapter, the team has announced that Yuen Woo-ping, known for being the martial arts choreographer behind Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, The Matrix, and The Grandmaster, will join Where Winds Meet as the Global Action Consultant. With Woo-ping on board, a new martial arts set, Bamboo Cut – Draught, will launch on September 3, 2026. Inspired by Jackie Chan’s film Drunken Master, the new set allows players to embody a true drunken master, striking the enemies hard with smooth, unpredictable movements.

Lastly, Where Winds Meet introduces new gameplay modes and seasonal events for players to look forward to. The new game mode joining the title is Extraction mode, where players can either fight face-to-face, hide in the shadows, blend within the environment, or loot treasures without fighting. Alongside the new game mode, players can participate in the Ghost Month Special Event, rooted in traditional Chinese folklore and taboo legends. Stepping into the spooky event, Where Winds Meet will reveal a supernatural side of Jiaghu, blending Wuxia with Chinese horror elements.
