The Gayming Awards 2025, the world’s only LGBTQ+ video game award show, premieres worldwide on July 8 and organizers have dropped a slew of information to prepare fans for the event.
The annual Gayming Awards returns for its second year. Organizers for The Gayming Awards 2025 have confirmed the hosts for this year’s ceremony, as well as several recipients of their LGBTQ+ Streamer Rising Star Class of 2025. The LGBTQ+ show will be hosted by DEERE, Milady Confetti, and star of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2 and RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars 3, Morgan McMichaels, along with game designer Rebecca Heineman – who is set to receive the Gayming Icon Award.
The show’s hosts feature an award-winning drag queen and celebrated content creator, DEERE. DEERE brings a fearless charisma, uniqueness, and gaming savvy to the stage once again, returning from last year’s Gayming Awards inaugural showcase. She is joined by Milady Confetti — a well-known content creator, and writer known for her advocacy for inclusivity in games and geek culture. Joining the duo from last year is Morgan McMichaels, a known LGBTQ+ personality who knows how to serve entertainment.
The Gayming Awards 2025 Gayming Icon Award winner, Rebecca Heineman first made headlines back in 1980 when she became the first-ever national video game champion by winning a Space Invaders tournament held by Atari. She is a self-taught programmer and designer, and helped port some of the most iconic games of the ’80s and ’90s. Her work extends to classic experiences like The Bard’s Tale, Wasteland, and Wolfenstein 3D. A trailer celebrating the upcoming showcase can also be seen below.
The Gayming Awards 2025 also celebrates The LGBTQ+ Streamer Rising Star Class of 2025. The Rising Star Class celebrates up-and-coming queer content creators who are making their mark in the streaming world. This year, the Class includes Twitch streamers BoyeFran, Bvssykatdoll, Mynxie666, and WillJinkies. They will benefit from a major prize package from sponsor Elgato, as well as other prizes.
