The Gayming Foundation, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to lifting up LGBTQ+ communities and creators across the global gaming landscape, has announced the Gayming Pride Parade.
The Gayming Pride Parade will be an official Summer Game Fest stream that will focus on LGBTQ+ representation in games and the talented people behind them. The parade itself is a virtual experience featuring 10 LGBTQ+ games as “floats.” Each float that passes will feature commentary, trailers, and some words from the developers. The show is produced by the Gayming Foundation with help and support from Gayming Magazine, a leading publication for queer voices in the gaming world.
The Summer Game Fest stream has some real star power with award-winning streamer Milady Confetti hosting the event. “Hosting the Gayming Pride Parade and getting to showcase queer games is my dream gig — it’s Pride, it’s games, and a full-on celebration of queer creativity,” said Milady Confetti, award-winning streamer and host of the Gayming Pride Parade. “We’re turning the showcase into a parade of incredible LGBTQ+ games and voices, and I can’t wait for everyone to see the lineup we’re putting together.”
Los Angeles is the focus of the gaming industry each year when people flock to see the Summer Game Fest both in person and virtually. The gayming Pride Parade will join the growing group of community-focused showcases that emphasize a focus on underrepresented voices in the competitive gaming industry. The Gayming Pride Parade is happy to join the ranks of other streams like the Latin American Games Showcase, Black Voices in Gaming showcases, Women-Led Games, and more.
