gen ATLAS Announced, New Title From Shadow Of The Colossus Creator

gen ATLAS has been announced at Summer Game Fest, coming from Fumito Ueda.

gen ATLAS has officially been revealed at Summer Game Fest. The new title comes from genDESIGN, helmed by video game visionary Fumito Ueda, creator of Shadow of the Colossus, ICO, and The Last Guardian. It’s a single-player, open-world action-adventure game that looks to carry on the DNA of his past titles. It will be published by Epic Games Publishing.

The trailer showcases tons of robotic action, where the protagonist awakens on an abandoned planet with no memory as to why. Huge, hulking machines roam the land, with massive fights that look like mechanical Colossi from Shadow of the Colossus. The protagonist looks to have plenty of weapons at their disposal, with different guns doing damage to the constructs. At one point, the main character watches two massive mechs fight, one getting their head knocked clean off.
