Sucker Punch Productions’ next title, Ghost of Yōtei, is set to release in just over three months but before that, there’s a State of Play on July 10.
As of today, Sucker Punch Productions’ next title is set to launch within the next three months, and to set the table for a blockbuster, Sony has announced a new State of Play focused on Ghost of Yōtei for this upcoming Thursday, July 10. Previously, Sucker Punch has played with their cards close to their chest, and has only revealed small excerpts of plot details (there’s a new protagonist) and pulled back the curtain on Collector’s Edition details, but the State of Play is set to reveal much more. The latest trailer for Ghost of Yōtei from last month can be seen below, which announces the State of Play.
The Senior Communications Manager of Sucker Punch Productions, Andrew Goldfarb says “Our State of Play features nearly 20 minutes of Ghost of Yōtei gameplay hosted by Sucker Punch’s Creative Directors, Jason Connell and Nate Fox. Beyond sharing more about Atsu’s quest for vengeance, we’re excited to show off her new weapons, new ways to personalize your journey at the edge of Japan, new special modes, and much more,” regarding what’s in store for the State of Play on July 10.

While Ghost of Yōtei is set to launch exclusively for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro on October 2, 2025, the State of Play presentation is not exclusive to any platform – all fans can attend the show. PlayStation is airing the special State of Play gameplay deep dive on July 10, 2025, at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET / 10 pm BST / 11 pm CEST, on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube channels. So fans merely have to tune in then to check out the action.
