The Great War Just Got A Bit Greater With Battlefield 1 Expansions 1

Only five months after the release of Battlefield 1, gamers are finally being given a glimpse of the content promised with the precious purchase of a premium pass.
Announced via press release, EA and DICE have offered the details of their four planned DLC packs which include new maps, weapons, vehicles, character classes and Operations.

The Great War Just Got A Bit Greater With Battlefield 1 Expansions

The first pack, initially revealed in January, titled They Shall Not Pass includes four maps: Verdun Heights, Fort De Vaux, Soissons, and Rupture; as well as adding the French army, the Trench Raider Elite Class, two new tanks and new main and melee weapons.

The second pack, titled In The Name of the Tsar, is described within the release, “Enter the biggest front of WW1 with the Russian Army. Ride in Galicia with the legendary Hussars during the Brusilov offensive. Partake in the skirmishes of the Albion assault in a freezing archipelago and fight in the snow covered ravines of the treacherous Lupkow Pass.”

The third pack, Turning Tides, focuses on the amphibious warfare of WW1. The new destroyer allows for intense tactical naval clashes and the coastal class airship combines fierce interplay between land, air and sea. Players will engage in the daredevil Zeebrugge raid and storm the beaches in the first days of the Gallipoli offensive.

The fourth, and seemingly final pack, Apocalypse, will put players “Over the top in the most infamous battles of WW1. Conquer bitterly contested ground with brutal tools and unique weapons born out of desperation and deadlock. Never before have the nightmarish horrors of the Great War been closer as you descend into hell. Prepare to enter the Apocalypse.”

Additionally, Battlefield 1 Premium Pass members will get access to each unreleased expansion pack two-weeks early, plus 14 Superior Battlepacks, priority server access and more.

No release dates have been released for the four expansions, nor have dates for specific details for the next three packs.
