343 Studios is making good on a promise to add Halo 4 to their Master Chief Collection for PC gamers before the end of 2020.
In fact, it will arrive very soon — next week, on November 17. This will complete the package on PC within a year of its launch, and will make Halo 5: Guardians the only mainline Halo game currently unplayable on PC.

As should be expected, Master Chief’s fourth outing has been optimized for PC, receiving a full remastering and running up to 60 FPS in 4K UHD. (Xbox Series X owners will see a similar jump in quality with the next-gen upgrade of the Master Chief Collection, also launching on November 17.)
Halo 4 was the first title in the franchise to be developed by 343 Studios after original developers Bungie stepped out from under Microsoft’s umbrella in 2007. While it received high critical praise and sold as well as any other Halo before it, fan reactions were a little more divided. For those who already have the collection, however, this should be an excellent infusion of new content.
Halo 4 can be purchased individually for $11 CDN, or as part of the $50 complete collection.
