The Halo: Master Chief Collection Will be Hitting PC

The Halo: Master Chief Collection Will be Hitting PC 1

Halo is synonymous with Xbox, everyone knows that. The series is one of Microsoft’s hardest hitters in their roster of console exclusives, meaning the company has been more than a little hesitant to release it on other platforms. Ever since the release of Halo: Combat Evolved back in 2001, Sony fans and Windows users alike have gazed at the series from afar with tear-filled eyes, praying that one day, the Xbox staple may grace their systems.

Well, wipe your tears PC gamers, because Halo developer 343 industries has announced that the entire Halo: The Masterchief Collection will be coming to the Windows store as well as Steam. My apologies to PS4 owners, I’m fairly certain that’s never going to happen. You’re probably better off just sticking to Destiny.

While Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo: 2 have been available on PC and Mac since 2003 and 2007 respectively, the rest of the series has yet to make its debut. According to 343 Industries, the collection will be hitting digital marketplaces chronologically, with each title being released individually as the studio builds up the collection.

Other than that, there hasn’t been much information about launch dates, so fans are going to have to sit tight while they wait for the re-release of their favourite franchise.
