After an exclusive Cannes Film Festival preview over the weekend, a trailer was released for Hell Grind.
Hell Grind is an action-fantasy movie made by Director Aitore Zholdaskali and Co-Writer Adilkhan Yerzhanov, along with a team of 15 other professional directors, cinematographers, and editors. The team used Higgsfield’s Soul Cinema and Soul Cast, and Dreamina-Seedance 2.0 to make the 95-minute film.
Higgsfield AI is a video generation platform with a focus on helping marketing teams, filmmakers, and other videographers create cinematic-quality content. Considering most AI video tools are used for short video clips, the fact that Zholdaskali was able to produce a 95-minute film with Higgsfield AI is new to the industry, and was responsible for the low production cost and time of under $500k USD over 14 days.
The plot of Hell Grind follows a band of street thieves who get brought into a war against demons after one of their members gets sent through a portal to the underworld. The group then teams up with a secret military group, who have found that the demons are looking to claim several ancient artifacts that would grant them ultimate power. To save their friend and the world, the thieves fight back against the demonic hordes, travelling from a temple in Tibet to battlefields in feudal Japan to complete their mission.

Hell Grind is joined by other AI short films in screenings at different film festivals, including the AI Film Awards in Cannes, France, and Camgarro Awards in Munich, Germany. Higgsfield AI CEO and Co-Founder Alex Mashrabov said, “By presenting this film, we are showing studios and creators that the infrastructure now exists to execute their most complex visions to life at a fraction the cost of traditional production.”
Zholdaskali sees the completion of Hell Grind as something beyond just a technical milestone, saying that, “making a movie today feels like making an album twenty years ago, you need investors and big studios. But then the laptop changed music forever and gave us Billie Eilish. That’s what Higgsfield is doing for filmmakers. The next generation won’t have to wait ten years.”
