On Tuesday, after the Hello Neighbor animated series season two finale, Hello Neighbor 3 was revealed, showcasing a new fright in Raven Brooks.
The game developers at tinyBuild have unveiled a new chapter in the Hello Neighbor game franchise, aptly named Hello Neighbor 3. The title was announced after the season two finale of the Hello Neighbor animated series, but the developers have since launched a “Devlog” on YouTube, explaining the inner workings of the threequel. The first Devlog, shown below, explains how the developers decided to make the third title.
As shown in the Devlog, franchise creator Nikita Kolesnikov is hard at work leading a small team of developers to bring the game to life. The developers have gone through numerous changes, from considering letting players create their own houses for others to invade and rob, to leaning toward a more co-op approach for Hello Neighbor 3 multiplayer gameplay.
Hello Neighbor 3 was codenamed RBO, which stands for Raven Brooks Online. Kolesnikov mentions that the team behind the Hello Neighbor titles had never developed an online game before, so they sought advice from a seasoned team of online developers, who responded with, “don’t do it, seriously,” regarding making an online game.

Franchise creator Nikita Kolesnikov said he’s “really excited to keep the development of Hello Neighbor 3 in an open format, sharing our journey,” adding, “Fingers crossed, early alphas will soon be available to try out!” Hello Neighbor 3 will begin as a single-player game set in the open sandbox town of Raven Brooks. If a player decides to intervene in the unfolding events, everything will be affected, and outcomes will change based on the player’s actions, Kolesnikov explains in the Devlog.
