ID@Xbox has partnered up with IGN once again in 2025 to bring fans the ID@Xbox Showcase, revealing what’s to come for the indie scene and Xbox for the year.
With the Xbox Developer Direct 2025 in the rearview mirror, Xbox has set its sights on the future with the ID@Xbox Showcase 2025 edition. At the Developer Direct, fans were treated to surprise announcements, revealing Ninja Gaiden IV and giving fans a better, more in-depth look at DOOM: The Dark Ages. While both of those title franchises can be considered household names, ID@Xbox exposes the more independent developed titles not backed on the massive ‘direct-like’ showcases, giving the smaller development teams time to shine in the spotlight. Revenge of the Savage Planet
Kicking off the ID@Xbox showcase, Revenge of the Savage Planet puts players in control of wacky equipment pulled from The Kindred Catalogue. Players enter the lens of Kindred Labs technicians while trying to solve puzzles with new quirky technological advancements. With tools and imagination, fans can have a wacky good time in the Savage Planet on May 8, coming to Xbox Game Pass day one.
Jump Ship
A new 14-player FPS co-op title in space is coming called Jump Ship. A playtest for Jump Ship is arriving in the Summer of 2025.
Echo Weaver
A new metroidvania/roguelite splice title sees players enter a dystopian sci-fi world as Weaver. As Weaver advances through each loop of the mysterious world, dying resets the cycle, forcing players to adapt to survive in this stylish roguelite. Coming soon to Xbox Game Pass.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault
The next title from Digital Sun, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, has been given a fresh look at the ID@Xbox showcase. Protagonist Will makes his grand return in search of treasure in this sequel to the 2019 original. It’s coming to Game Pass in 2025.
Blue Prince
The new cel-shaded graphical title, Blue Prince, demands players explore the mysterious estate over many days of looking around for discoveries. Blue Prince is coming to Xbox Game Pass day one on April 10.
Outbound
This cozy exploration title asks players to take to their camper van and go on a road trip in Outbound. This new title sees players capable of building an entirely new home on top of their vehicle. Outbound lands sometime in 2026.
Herdling
A mysterious new title was then revealed called Herdling. Herdling puts the player behind the lens of a shepherd forced to lead large creatures from harm’s way through perilous landscapes and harsh environments. It arrives day one on Xbox Game Pass in the Summer of 2025
Wax Heads
Curve Games’ newest title embraces music and records in a whole new way in Wax Heads. This new record store simulator is coming sometime in the Summer of 2026.
The Lonesome Guild
DON’T NOD’s newest title premiered at the ID@Xbox showcase next. In The Lonesome Guild, players will be forced to engage in combat against unyielding enemies with a team of recruited characters on each adventure. Growing closer to companions is the key to victory in The Lonesome Guild, and it arrives in the Fall of 2025.
Buckshot Roulette
The immensely popular Steam indie title, Buckshot Roulette is finally coming to Xbox Game Pass at a TBD date.
Hotel Barcelona
A new arcade beat em’ up experience is here, complete with massive boss fights and over-the-top action sequences. Hotel Barcelona from White Owls is coming sometime in 2025.
Balatro Friends of Jimbo is coming to Xbox Game Pass Today!
Balatro is not only coming to Xbox Game Pass, but the new Friend’s of Jimbo 4 pack will see new collaborations with Assassin’s Creed, Bugsnax, Critical Role, Dead by Daylight, Rust, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, Slay the Princess and Fallout’s Vault-Tec.
Rock Beasts
Another world premiere from Team 17 was then shown at ID@Xbox, which embraces the spirit of sitcoms like The Office. Many interview cutaways featuring single 1-on-1 perspectives similar to the hit sitcom populate interactions in Rock Beasts. You play the band manager who must choose between keeping everyone out of trouble or letting chaos ensue in Rock Beasts. Coming in 2025.
Ratatan
Initially revealed at BitSummit 2023, the next rhythm-based roguelike, Ratatan has been shown once again. Players will be forced to keep the beat in catchy rhythm gameplay when the Ratatan launches later this year.
Tempopo
Another puzzle-based game was then unveiled by the makers behind Unpacking called Tempopo. This new title features a garden of melodies and rhythm-based gameplay. Tempopo releases on April 17.
Woodo
The next title revealed at ID@Xbox asks players to build a story piece by piece from the narrator’s favourite memory, in this new cozy title from Witch Beam. Dive into a new cozy experience in Woodo, when it launches at a TBD date in 2025.
Tanuki: Pon’s Summer
The next game coming to Xbox Game Pass this Summer is the Tanuki-based title Tanuki: Pon’s Summer. Players will be able to make deliveries while landing sweet bicycle tricks when Tanuki: Pon’s Summer arrives in late 2025.
Descenders Next
The next title from RageSquid sees players snowboarding and longboarding down steep slopes in groups of four. The next step in the i game series, Descenders Next is arriving on Xbox Game Pass on April 9.
Tron: Catalyst
This top-down action-based title puts players in the cyberspace of Tron in the roguelike experience TRON: Catalyst. Players will get to ‘break the loop’ at a TBD date in the future.
33 immortals
The previously announced 33 immortals has finally been given an early access release date, and fans can dive into the early access action on March 18.
Lies of P: Overture
The recently revealed Lies of P: Overture DLC expansion has been given a new trailer shown at the ID@Xbox showcase. While no release date has been given, NeoWiz appears hard at work on the DLC expansion and it should be coming soon.
