INDIE Live Expo 2025 Premiere On April 13, With New Mascots, Games Line-Up, And More

Hopefully, you cleared your calendar for the weekend. Ryu’s Office announced INDIE Live Expo returns on April 13, 2025, with new mascots, a list of games to anticipate, and more. 

For gamers aiming to expand their ever-growing libraries, the INDIE Live Expo is returning on April 13, 2025, with the announcement of numerous upcoming indie games, including HYKE: Northern Light(s), Soulmask, Marisa of Liartop Mountain, and more.

With over 100+ games waiting to be announced during the INDIE Live Expo, the showcase will cover a variety of genres, from adventures to thrillers. The games included are:

  • HYKE: Northern Light(s) – Following her mother’s footsteps exploring the world, a witch named Hyke enters an unexplored land of the Forbidden Areas, embarking on a quest after she meets Meteos, a fellow witch who guards the land. Co-developed by Akatuski Games and Aniplex.
  • Soulmask – Developed by CampFire Studio and published by Qooland Games, the players find an ancient mystical mask after escaping a sacrificial ritual. With the knowledge stored inside the mask, you must build your tribe and prepare to face the challenges you will encounter.
  • Hungry Meem – Developed by Drecom Co. Ltd, hungry Meems live under the World Tree and are at risk of extinction. To prevent such cruelty, explore the World Tree environment and rebuild the settlement to feed the hungry and adorable Meems.  
  • Sofia in Exchange for Lies – Developed by MUTAN, a psychiatrist named Phillip surveillance Sofia, a murder suspect who suffers from multiple personalities. As you meet four of her personalities, you will need to determine her motive behind the murder.
  • All in Abyss: Judge The Fake – Become a successful gambler by challenging others at the Texas Hold’em Poker, using many skills and exposing the witches’ fake hands. Co-developed by ACQUIRE Corp. and WSS Playground, and published by Alliance Arts. 
  • The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily – Through the power of streaming, use manipulation and diversion to wage war against the military force of the Imperial Kingdom for falsely accusing you of murdering the king. Developed by One or Eight, WSS Playground, and Alliance Arts. 
  • Yunyun Syndrom!? Rhythm Psychosis – Developed by WHO YOU and published by Alliance Arts, lose all control from listening to too much Denpa music and posting continuously across social media as a psychotic hikikomori (shut-in) girl.
  • Marisa of Liartop Mountain – As Reimu, explore a massive book collection shrouded with mysteries and lies to find the missing Marisa. Developed by Unknown X.   

Alongside the announcements of many games, INDIE Live Expo is bringing back its signature segments. The segments included are:

  • INDIE Waves – 15-second bite-sized updates.
  • INDIE Spotlights – Learning more about the world premiere and handpicked titles. 
  • Streamer Show – Guests having hands-on experience with highlighted games.

Not only are the segments returning, but fans can expect to see English emcees Kaori Horiuchi, J-mon, and HighGai return to the showcase. The INDIE Live Expo is also debutting Wishlist Addmi-Chan, a dynamic VTuber-style duo advocating for wishlisting and reviewing indie games.

The INDIE Live Expo was established in 2020 by Ryu’s Office in collaboration with Playism. The expo aims to showcase upcoming indie games for gamers to look forward to and broadcast in English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. As of now, the showcase has revealed more than 2,750 games to over 100 million viewers. 

For fans looking forward to the INDIE Live Expo, the showcase premieres on April 13, 2025, on YouTube and Twitch.
