At today’s Triple-I Initiative stream, Askiisoft and Devolver Digital released a Katana ZERO DLC teaser, the most anticipated project since its launch.
After almost six years since Katana ZERO was released, Askiisoft and Devolver Digital have shed some light on what we can expect from the new DLC during the Triple-I Initiative 2025 showcase. In the Katana ZERO DLC, Zero embarks on a journey to learn more about his past, with new foes waiting to be slashed in a new environment and story.
Released on April 18, 2019, Katana ZERO is an action-platformer featuring intensive action and instant death combat. Wielding your trusty katana, dash, slash, and manipulate the time to eliminate your foes and learn more about your mysterious past. There are times you will need to observe your surroundings and enemies to be an efficient assassin, leaving no survivors, whether you are dodging projectiles or rigging the environments with explosives.
From what is revealed so far about the upcoming DLC, players will return to the beloved world of Katana ZERO, continuing Zero’s journey as we learn more about his past. Developed right after the game launch, the DLC is near completion, featuring new characters, levels, gameplay, and stories to unravel. Although Askiisoft has shared that the project is six times bigger than the original plan back in 2021, the anticipated DLC will still be free for anyone who owns the base game on their PC or console. However, the release date has not been revealed yet, but hopefully, it will be soon.
Katana ZERO is available on Xbox One/Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG.
