Now that gamescom 2026 is in the rearview mirror, KONAMI has uncorked news on a PRESS START showcase filled with new details on upcoming titles.
Although gamescom 2026 started and ended without any news from KONAMI, the company that built Silent Hill and Castlevania has freshly announced a new PRESS START showcase, and its coming this week. The showcase will run for approximately 30 minutes, and the showcase will not feature any new announcements. KONAMI is rolling out the red carpet for three titles already in development (and already announced). New gameplay will be shown for SILENT HILL: Townfall (which is releasing on Sept. 24) and Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (releasing on Oct. 15).

KONAMI PRESS START is also pulling back the curtain on a fresh look at their previously announced title at the February Sony State of Play, Rev.NoiR, and new gameplay footage and video messages from the developers will be on display. While the announcement didn’t outright say these were the only games being shown at the PRESS START showcase, the company confirmed: “there will be no announcements regarding the remake of SILENT HILL.” Which means fans of the horror series will have to settle for Townfall.
SILENT HILL: Townfall is set in Northern Europe and carries a fresh perspective. The new entry forces players to look through a first-person lens for the first time, and every feature of the game has been designed with the perspective in mind. The protagonist Simon, will be able to use signature weaponry from the franchise, featuring anything they can grab, like wooden planks to fend off truly horrifying abominations while Simon uncovers the mystery of St. Amelia.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is the next title in the vampire hunting series jointly developed by KONAMI, Evil Empire and Motion Twin, and it is set in Paris in 1499. The story follows Trevor Belmont’s daughter, Rose, as she confronts the monsters overrunning the city and ultimately Dracula’s return. Rev.NoiR, on the other hand, was given only a brief trailer at the Sony State of Play from February 2026, and it has been pretty quiet until PRESS START airs this week.
