With the arrival of Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores, Lance Reddick has received an honour in a part of the map to commemorate his work as Sylens in the franchise.

On March 17, the world lost the irreplaceable actor Lance Reddick. Reddick was known for his iconic roles in John Wick, The Wire, and the latest Netflix Original gaming adaptation Resident Evil. Another medium has also been feeling the loss, as Lance Reddick has a prominent role in video games. This includes the PlayStation title Horizon Forbidden West, as Lance portrayed the role of Sylens in the title, and the developers over at Guerilla have inserted a memorial for the late actor in their latest DLC Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores. An image of the memorial has been posted to Twitter by Guerilla, and it can be seen below.

The post reads, “In honour of Lance Reddick, we created a memorial to commemorate the profound impact he had on us all.” The addition of the memorial has been found by fans as well, with an outpouring of support being offered to the team at Guerilla. Twitter user AloysBoyToy said, “Beautiful tribute to a wonderful actor, and a truly wonderful man. Thank you for giving us this to remember him by” in reply to the post.

A similar fan outreach happened in Destiny 2 during Season of Defiance‘s close-out Guardian Games. Fans bound together on Destiny 2‘s subReddit to play as the Titan class during the light-competition event in support of Lance Reddick’s role as the Titan Vanguard Leader, Commander Zavala.

Spoiler alert, Titans did indeed win this year’s Guardian Games as well.

While Lance Reddick may not be around any longer, his legacy continues through the profound impact he has had on his fans, as well as the communities he has supported for years. Stephanie Reddick posted on the late actor’s Instagram, saying, “I see your messages and can’t begin to express how grateful I am to have them,” and referred fans who wish to make a donation in Lance Reddick’s name to visit the Walden School website, which is located in the actor’s hometown of Baltimore, to make a difference.
