A LEGO PlayStation is Allegedly In The Works For 2026, According To Leak

LEGO is no stranger to recreating consoles in brick form, and a new leak suggests a LEGO PlayStation (based on the original) is in the works for 2026.

A LEGO recreation of the original Sony PlayStation (which launched in 1995 in North America) is reportedly on the way, according to a leak from a prominent LEGO set leaker, lego_minecraft_goat, on Instagram. The account has been responsible for lifting the veil on many LEGO launches before they’re announced, and it appears the LEGO PlayStation is the next console LEGO will be turning into bricks (after the Atari 2600, the NES, and the Game Boy).

LEGO has recently made strides in the video game space, releasing notable sets for Super Mario, Donkey Kong, and even launching a brick-built version of the original brick-shaped Game Boy. LEGO has recently turned PlayStation’s Horizon series into physical brick products and launched its own standalone LEGO Horizon Adventures game; now it’s apparently the PlayStation console itself’s turn.

According to the leaker’s post, the LEGO PlayStation will be released in December 2026. It will reportedly run buyers $159.99 and will contain 1,911 pieces (which includes at least the console and one controller). When compared to the other home console LEGO releases like the LEGO NES, the console drops over $100 in retail MSRP (but also loses nearly 800 pieces in the process).

Lego Horizon Adventures Preview: A Delightful New Take On Aloy'S World

Yesterday (on Mario Day), LEGO announced a new LEGO Mario Kart LEGO drop with the Mario Kart – Luigi & Mach 8 LEGO set. It’s up for pre-order now, and shows LEGO’s continued commitment to turn the entire video game industry into bricks. Fans should note that neither Sony, PlayStation, nor LEGO have yet to confirm the LEGO PlayStation with an official announcement, so fans should take the news with a grain of salt until it has been confirmed.
