A new unexpected LEGO set is letting fans return to The Shire with LEGO The Hobbit, and the new set includes Bilbo Baggins and co. as mini-figures.
A new LEGO set has unexpectedly arrived for fans everywhere, and after LEGO joined Nintendo in creating a Super Mario set and Epic Games in recreating Fortnite‘s Battle Bus in a ‘bricked’ form, it appears no LEGO mashup is too out of reach for LEGO Icons. Today, LEGO Icons has launched their latest set, bringing fans back to The Shire with a new LEGO The Hobbit set.
LEGO is no stranger to Middle Earth, as they’ve already adapted key locations into brick form with LEGO The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr and a LEGO Rivendell based on locations in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring trilogy of films. LEGO is bringing Middle Earth back to where the first novel and the Fellowship started, The Shire.

The LEGO The Hobbit set includes the hero of the story, Bilbo Baggins, in his classic Shire outfit as seen in The Hobbit (and its many adaptations), and Gandalf the Grey is seen sporting his usual staff, interestingly enough, in the photos of the set in action he doesn’t appear to hit his head on Bilbo’s lower-than-normal ceiling as he does in the Middle Earth-based films. It’s worth mentioning that the set had previously been introduced to LEGO through their LEGO Ideas program and the original can be seen on the ideas site from 2022.
