Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live revealed that Lords of the Fallen II is coming out 2026, revealing a new trailer.

Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live revealed that Lords of the Fallen II is coming out 2026, revealing a new trailer. The CI Games ARPG can be wishlisted now. The trailer showed off its gritty Lord of the Rings-esque aesthetics that players will recognize from Lords of the Fallen. Players can expect the same amazing graphics from its cinematics. The game will be exclusively out on PlayStation 5 next year.

The description of the game follows: “Lords of the Fallen II is a dark fantasy action-RPG where brutal, soulslike combat meets a world splitting at its core. Battle against the darkness in an epic adventure across a shattered kingdom. One world. Two realms. No mercy.” Retribution is the name of the game, but not literally.

The visuals were stunning, and this is a trailer you would not want to miss, as the Dark Crusader is back. The remake game initially launched back in 2023, based on the 2014 game of the same name. Upon release, it received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics and sold over one million units in the first ten days since release. Finally, players will get to continue the story! No gameplay was shown, and no official release date was provided.

Lords of the Fallen II is designed as a fully standalone sequel from 2023’s Lords of the Fallen. This Unreal Engine 5-powered follow-up offers two parallel worlds to explore, including an expanded Umbral realm, and shared campaign progression in online co-op. “After selling over 2 million units and welcoming over 5.5 million Lampbearers into Lords of the Fallen, it’s clear our comeback was community-powered,” stated CI Games boss Marek Tyminski.

“With Lords of the Fallen 2, we’re going further. In 2024 we proudly announced our deep commitment to be a player-first studio. The V2.0 update was our promise in action: listen, respond, and deliver. This sequel is built on that same foundation.” Tyminski continued. This means fights are faster, more decisive, and increasingly punishing for those who hesitate. The flow between strikes, dodges, and counters is designed to reward precision, but also tempt risk, while all-new executions up the brutality like never before.

As for the lore, Lords of the Fallen II takes place a hundred years after the first game’s events, and while it was not revealed exactly what happened during this period, they confirmed the stakes are higher than ever. The Umbral calamity has continued to spread, as the veil between realms is now fragile enough for the horrors of the dark to slip between worlds. With life itself hanging by a thread, even the Gods hide in fear of the encroaching gloom, leaving humanity utterly forsaken.
