Ubisoft and Nintendo are seemingly partnering for a sequel to 2017’s Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle after a leak on ResetEra was confirmed by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad.
While leaks and rumours should all be taken with a grain of salt, especially when they come from forums like Reddit or ResetEra, it seems we have pretty credible confirmation from industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, who is well-known for hearing rumblings coming from behind the scenes of the gaming-sphere.
On Twitter, the ResetEra post was shared listing several titles that would be covered at some point during E3. Daniel Ahmad responded to the post confirming that the titles listed were, in fact, real and on the way. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope was one of the more interesting titles on the list, leading to rampant speculation as we move closer to Nintendo and Ubisoft’s E3 presentations.

It’s safe to assume that Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope would be a sequel following four years of silence since the release of the original in 2017, but until we get an official reveal all we can do is speculate as to what exactly that title means.
The turn-based tactical RPG developed by Ubisoft and exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a crossover between Nintendo’s Mario and Ubisoft’s Raving Rabbids franchises. This crossover received major criticism when the original leaked before its reveal, but following critical acclaim, those who believed a mix of Mario and Rabbids content wouldn’t hit home were silenced (for the most part).
While it isn’t a guarantee, anyone who is interested in seeing this title revealed should probably mark their calendars for Nintendo’s E3 Direct on June 15th at Noon ET and Ubisoft’s Forward event on June 12th at 3PM ET.
