The latest entry in the ongoing series of Marvel vs. Capcom games has been one of the highlights of the day. Not only was a story trailer released for the game, but eight new characters and an official release date were as well.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, which is the latest entry, is set to launch on September 19, 2017, for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. However, fans now know that eight new fighters will be joining the cast that already consists of Mega Man X, Iron Man, Captain America, Ryu, Captain Marvel and Morrigan.

Accompanying these characters are Chris Redfield, Hiryu, Chun-Li, Rocket Racoon, Hawkeye, Thor, Ultron and Hulk. However, the trailer that was just released put all the emphasis on the supervillain Ultron Sigma; who is a fusion between Ultron and Sigma. It is clear, that Ultron Sigma is set to have a major role in the story arc of this latest entry.

Fans can begin pre-ordering this game right away, and there are a few versions that are being released for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. The first is a Standard Edition that will feature the base game and Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu Premium Costumes (if pre-ordered). Fans looking for more could decide to pre-order the Deluxe Edition. This gives players everything the Standard Edition does but adds two new costumes and the 2017 Character Pass (which unlocks six post-launch fighters including Sigma).

Finally, there is the Collector’s Edition; which is the granddaddy of them all. Not only will players get all the contents present in the Deluxe Edition but also LED Infinity Stones and four dioramas from TriForce.

For now, as there is still a ways to go before the game releases, be sure to check out the new trailer.
