Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s Bout Heats Up with Viral Slap — Watch It Live Tonight on Netflix

It's Finally Happening

Mike Tyson and Jake Unleash 3rd Viral Slap To The Internet & How To Watch The Netflix Event

With the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul officially happening tonight on Netflix, fans (or haters) may be wondering how to tune in, and CGMagazine has it covered.

There have been a few viral slaps to the face that have taken hold of the internet with an iron grip, and one may have happened yesterday. The on, then off, and now on-again boxing bout between combat sports legend Mike Tyson and Disney Channel star turned influencer Jake Paul is scheduled to air tonight on Neflix, but during yesterday’s weigh ins, things got more heated than both combatants have let on.

First off, Mike Tyson and Jake Paul were initially set to fight in July this year, but the fight was then postponed due to Tyson experiencing an ulcer flare-up on a flight. This led to combat sports bare-knuckle fighter (and former UFC fighter) Mike Perry stepping in on short notice to fight Paul in Tyson’s place, which ended with the smaller framed Perry being on the receiving end of a TKO in the 6th round. This stifled the heat leading up to the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul bout, until yesterday.

During ceremonial weigh-ins Thursday night, things got heated between both combatants after Paul was seen stepping on Tyson’s sneaker, and Tyson responded with a right open-handed slap to Paul’s face. Tyson confirmed this was the reason for the altercation via a statement made to the NY Post that said “He stepped on my toe because he is a f–king a–hole. I wanted to think it happened by accident. But now I think it may have happened on purpose” stating “I was in my socks, and he had on shoes.”

Jake Paul responded with “He hits like a b**** … He must die.” This isn’t the first viral slap to hit the internet though. Will Smith got a ban from the Oscars after slapping Chris Rock in a viral moment during the 94th Academy Awards on March 27, 2022, where Chris Rock was trying to present the award for “Best Documentary Feature”.

Before that, a viral video launched way back in 2009 during an Indian reality show called Dadagiri: Beat The Bullies, where contestants suffer verbal abuse for the chance to win money. In this particular scene, one of the bullies pushed a contestant who was unphased until she physically slapped him, to which he responded “How can she slap?” This is the third time a slap has gone viral.
