After its announcement in December 2024, 11 bit studios has played its cards close to its chest regarding Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault until today’s ID@Xbox showcase.
Today, Xbox rolled out the red carpet for another ID@Xbox showcase, and they brought the heat when it comes to indie games. The development team at 11 bit has kept quiet since announcing their sequel to Moonlighter, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, since its announcement last December. 11 nit has changed course and revealed a new trailer for fans to sink their teeth (and eyes) into, and it can be seen below.
The Endless Vault is the highly anticipated sequel of Digital Sun’s well-received original Moonlighter, and 11 bit Studios has confirmed the title will be coming to Xbox Series S/X, PS5 and PC in 2025. Digital Sun CEO, Javier Giminez said, “The original Moonlighter was a pivotal moment for us, marking the growth of Digital Sun as a team. Five years on, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault showcases everything we’ve learned along the way. We’re channelling all our craftsmanship into creating a game that’s not just better, but brimming with even more charm in every detail” when the sequel was announced, and features the return of the original title’s hero, Will.

Armed with a diverse range of melee and projectile weapons, Will brings skill to battle and diplomacy when speaking to others. Moonlighter 2 will take adventurers into vaults, catacombs and other perilous caverns in the search of treasure, and it will be up to the team of player and protagonist to find riches and strike up a bargain to gain wealth in The Endless Vault showcased during the ID@Xbox presentation.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has a TBD release date, but it is coming in 2025. Fans can check out the official 11 bit website for more information.
