MrBeast Burger Legal Problems - The Story So Far

After MrBeast (also known as Jimmy Donaldson) sued the MrBeast Burger ghost kitchen, Virtual Dining Concepts, for “inedible” food and reputation damage, Virtual Dining Concepts has sued back.

On July 31, MrBeast sued Virtual Dining Concepts for “inedible” food and poor quality. MrBeast, who has 174 million subscribers on YouTube, alleges Virtual Dining Concepts damaged his reputation due to the “low quality” they delivered with the MrBeast branded eatery. The lawsuit also alleges MrBeast had cited his concerns with the quality and customer complaints, but his issues “fell on deaf ears.”

MrBeast‘s lawsuit then alleges “Virtual Dining Concepts was more focused on rapidly expanding the business as a way to pitch the virtual restaurant model to other celebrities for its own benefit, it was not focused on controlling the quality of the MrBeast Burger customer experience and products.”

Prior to the lawsuit, there have been many instances of fans taking to social media to complain about MrBeast Burger. Many describe the eating experience as “disgusting” or “revolting”, and MrBeast’s lawsuit contains many examples of this.

One week later, on August 7, Virtual Dining Concepts countersued MrBeast for breaching his contract and damaging not only MrBeast Burger but Virtual Dining Concepts as a whole, Variety reports. The lawsuit states, “Donaldson’s baseless and unlawful disparagement had the intended effect: MrBeast Burger’s reputation was materially damaged if not destroyed, customers abandoned the Brand, Plaintiffs’ hard-won relationships with vendors, partners, and suppliers were shattered, causing damages to Plaintiffs that, according to the evidence and Donaldson’s own statements regarding the value of MrBeast Burger, are in the nine-figure range.”

Interestingly enough, although so much legal turmoil is happening regarding MrBeast and MrBeast Burger, the website is still up with Donaldson’s likeness plastered all over the ‘About’ page. While this legal battle continues, fans can stay tuned by following the official MrBeast X account.
