At the 2025 Mobile World Congress (aka MWC 2025), TCL came to the event swinging with six new smartphone designs including NXTPAPER models.
The MWC 2025 kicked off this weekend and during the event today, TCL has revealed what they have in store for consumers in 2025. TCL has revealed that they don’t have one or two smartphones coming to retail, they have a whopping six smartphones on their release slate, and two of them feature the patented NXTPAPER technology which offers multi-layer eye protection, anti-glare, and blue light to allow for softer viewing complete with a paper-like feeling.

MWC 2025: TCL’s Biggest Announcements

First off, TCL introduced the latest innovation in its NXTPAPER catalogue, the TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus Tablet. This is the first NXTPAPER TCL device powered by AI and debuts the latest NXTPAPER 4.0 display technology. Onboard AI can improve text handling by offering smart suggestions including for translation and summarization. Writing Assist aids consumers in drafting emails and planning events, streamlining tasks efficiently with generative AI. Circle to Search with Google allows consumers the ability to search by circling the item with the user’s finger or the included T-Pen. The NXTPAPER 11 Plus Tablet also features Smart Translator functionality, letting the tablet double as an AI translator.
- The TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus Tablet boasts a 2.2K high-resolution 11.5-inch display, paired with a fast 120Hz refresh rate.
- MediaTek Helio G100 processor, with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage or 12GB RAM + 256GB storage options for consumer choice.
- NXTPAPER 4.0 display technology revealed at MWC 2025 allows users to have the easiest viewing experience on a NXTPAPER device yet.

TCL 60 Series: Six New Phone Announcements

Along with the big NXTPAPER 11 Plus Tablet reveal at MWC 2025, TCL also brought six new smartphones the company is rolling out in 2025 and two of them feature the NXTPAPER technology consumers can expect from TCL. Below are the smartphones revealed at MWC 2025 and the included specifications shown at the MWC 2025.
- TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G – Powered by the AndroidOS 15, the new NXTPAPER display-equipped smartphone arrives with a 6.8-inch display featuring a 50MP rear camera and remembered to include a 3.5mm audio jack. The TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G also deploys 8GB RAM with 256GB of storage, including a MediaTek 6835V/TZB chipset.
- TCL 60R 5G – The TCL 60R 5G comes with a 6.67-inch display and the AndroidOS 15 platform. The TCL 60R 5G deploys the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and a 50MP rear camera for clear photos. An audio jack, Bluetooth 5.4 functionality and gives users the option to choose between a version that allows OS upgrades and one that doesn’t.
- TCL 60 5G – Uses a 6.8-inch 120Hz display, a 5G Octa-Core Processor, 6GB RAM with 256GB of storage, and the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset.
- TCL 60 SE – Uses a 6.67-inch display, an Octa-Core Processor, 8GB RAM with 512GB of storage, a 5 rear camera, and up to 30FPS video capture.
- TCL 605 – Featuring a 6.67-inch display with the AndroidOS 15. The TCL 605 comes with RAM and storage configuration optionality for the cost-conscious, a downgrade to Bluetooth 5.1 allows TCL to keep pricing lower on this device, and the TCL 605 brings the MTK G81 with an Octa-Core CPU.
- TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G – the second NXTPAPER display technology smartphone revealed at MWC 2025 brings a flagship smartphone that features a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The XE version brings AI functionality (like that described in the NXTPAPER 11 Plus Tablet) and has a MediaTek Octa-core 5G chipset for efficiency. It comes with the AndroidOS 15 platform and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage which can be upgraded with the included microSD slot.

On top of the smartphone and tablet innovations TCL brought to MWC 2025, TCL also showed their newest version of the RayNeo AR-infused glasses. The newly introduced RayNeo Air 3S AR glasses now provide AI functionality, a 12MP Sony sensor and a real-time AI assistant. Lastly, TCL brought their latest projector technology innovation to MWC with the PlayCube. The TCL PlayCube deploys a 2.5-hour built-in battery, giving consumers the choice to bring this projector outdoors for entertainment. The PlayCube features real-time calibration for focus adjustments, keystone correction, and clarity adjusting features.
