Players who explore No Man’s Sky for the cozy elements will have a lot more content to mess around with as players can build and manage their own settlements. By taking ownership of multiple settlements, fans will be able to construct buildings and upgrade each one effectively. New building types have been added with Beacon including dive bars where you can blast music out of jukeboxes, new merchants where fans can build custom starships, and even non-building structures like ponds can be constructed where players can relax and fish.

On top of the notable updates to existing platforms, Hello Games and No Man’s Sky have been hard at work optimizing the title’s efficiency on the Nintendo Switch 2. Hello Games said it had spent a year making No Man’s Sky optimized for the Switch 2 and the fine-tuned upgrades for the Switch 2 Edition include better resolution and frame rate, high-res texture support, and higher pixel density, as well as support for touchscreen and cross-saves. These improvements are included with the day one Switch 2 patch that also dropped today.
