On Wednesday, Bandai Namco announced that ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 will be heading to next-gen consoles as the title celebrates 4 million unit sales.
ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 is coming to new-gen consoles. Bandai Namco has made the celebratory announcement that their latest title in the action-oriented One Piece video game franchise will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series S/X on the eve of the title having sold over 4 million units worldwide since its launch way back in 2020. Bandai notably says the title will receive new updates after the port is made, including new DLC for fans to dive into. The full announcement trailer can be seen below.
ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 is the fourth installment of the action franchise that adapts Omega Force’s Musou-like gameplay into a ONE PIECE adventure. The gameplay features the same 1 vs. 100 action the franchise is known for introducing to other popular franchises (looking at Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors) except ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 lows the exploits of the Straw Hat Crew and other key ONE PIECE characters. Fans who already own the previous editions of the title for PS4 and Xbox One are in luck, as Bandai offers a completely free upgrade to the latest version.

Interestingly enough, Bandai Namco has also announced a new DLC for the four-year-old title to coincide with the next-gen releases. For the first time, fans will be allowed to choose who joins the roster using democracy. Starting today through February 28, 2025, a posted User Survey will allow fans to vote for up to three favourite characters from a list of 23 characters, and the winners will be introduced to the world of ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 as paid DLC additions. Fans can check out the survey on the official website.
Bandai Namco stopped short of announcing a release date for the upcoming next-gen release of ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4, so fans will have to wait for a future announcement regarding the exciting release.
