Outriders released back in April of 2021 to mixed-positive reviews, but one of the main issues was the lack of an adequate endgame. With Outriders Worldslayer, that changes in a big way.
Square Enix and People Can Fly games hosted an Outriders Worldslayer broadcast today, specifically outlining one of the biggest complaints fans had about the title: the endgame. In a preview back in April of this year, CGMagazine got a sneak peek at the new expansion’s content, but today necessary details were released, outlining what’s to come for the co-op based third person looter-shooter.

In the broadcast, Lucy Hale wasted absolutely no time in addressing what the Worldslayer expansion is for, the endgame. The update is said to bring a brand new campaign, new skill tree directions, ‘apocalypse tiers,’ ascension points, and of course, massive loot. What’s an expansion without a huge boss? Luckily fans don’t have to find out, as Outriders Worldslayer also introduces fans to a menacing new foe to face on the world of Enoch.
Players who overcome this new threat will still have more challenges ahead in the new dungeon, the Trial of Tarya Gratar, which is filled with challenges that promises a high-risk high-reward loot system. As for the reasoning behind why our create-a-character heroes are there? The broadcast elected to not spoil anything noteworthy, but the expansion takes place in a brand new area complete with weather and daytime conditions and many detours the player can take that is off the beaten path.

A powerful ‘Heat Seeker’ armor set was shown off as new loot, specifically for the Pyromancer class, that compliments the new ‘Firestorm’ mod for the existing legendary SMG Sunfall. Better yet, existing armor sets players have grinded for will get notable improvements to keep their viability while playing through the new campaign.
With new enemies that can cloak themselves called ‘Shadow Beasts,’ a heavy emphasis placed on loot and the ability to farm different types, a huge new location, and trials that can challenge any veteran Outrider, Outriders Worldslayer aims to extend a solid title with more endgame material that anyone can enjoy. Outriders Worldslayer launches on June 30th, and fans can flock over to the People Can Fly Twitter for more info.
