Overwatch Shooting Star Animated Short Features D.Va Beyond the Glitz and Glamour 1

Blizzard just released Shooting Star, an Overwatch animated short featuring the deadly skills of mech pilot D.Va.

The video highlights the more human side of her as well — Hana Song beyond the glitz and glamour of holovids. As she repairs her mech and talks with her friend, she gets a haunting flashback of her last battle.

Her friend then lets her know that she can ask for help if it’s wanted, as she doesn’t have to see it as only herself against the Omnic threat.

When Omnics suddenly attack the city, D.Va leaps into action, putting up a Defense Matrix while using Boosters for speed and launching Micro Missiles at her foes. As an Omnic nears the city, D.Va takes her friend’s advice, receives his aid, and fearlessly jumps out of her mech to go against the enemy with her own gun.

The animated short ends with D.Va taking some time off while indulging in her favourite snacks.

Players can select D.Va as a hero in Overwatch, which is available on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
