PlayStation Store Data Reveals April 2025 Top Downloads: Forza Horizon 5, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

The PlayStation blog reveals the PlayStation Store April 2025 data for top downloads, revealing what is trending right now.

What are PlayStation gamers playing right now? This morning, the latest PlayStation blog dropped some important data charts for April 2025’s top downloads. The PlayStation Store had some major shifts for what gamers have been playing across PlayStation games on the PS5, PS4, PS VR2, and free-to-play games. The charts focused only on the North American and EU regions. To no one’s surprise, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and Forza Horizon 5 broke into the top three for the U.S. and EU PS5 charts, while Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate dominated the PS VR2 charts across the board.

Content Communication Specialist O’Dell Harmon Jr. from Sony Interactive Entertainment posted the charts on the PlayStation blog’s latest entry. Unfortunately, the latest video game film adaptation for Until Dawn did not throttle PlayStation sales for the game. However, it is possible that the release of A Minecraft Movie helped boost the Minecraft game into the top three downloads for the U.S. and EU PS5 and PS4 charts.

Additionally, Devil May Cry HD Collection made the top five downloads on the PS4. This could be a direct result of Netflix dropping one of its latest big animated series, Devil May Cry, created and adapted by Adi Shankar (Dredd, The Grey). This adds proof that good video game adaptations matter and can help reinvigorate the video game industry for the better.

As for free-to-play games, there is no surprise that Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Roblox continue to dominate the top three download spots. This applies to both regions and on the PS5 and PS4. Marvel Rivals is at the fourth spot in the North American region while the EU has Rocket League continuing to dominate at the number four spot. With the current gaming trend surrounding extraction shooters, Arc Raiders may climb this list as soon as the game is released for the free-to-play category on the PS4/PS5.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is in the top ten list for both regions on the PS5. The critically acclaimed French-made RPG/JRPG-inspired game proves the RPG model still has a lot of room to grow. Critics and gamers continue to praise the game. CGMagazine’s Chris de Hoog scored Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at a 10/10 game, applauding its gameplay, voice cast, score, game mechanics, and more. While this best-selling game keeps selling out physical copies, it may climb the download charts for May 2025 if gamers are getting antsy to play the game.

Surprisingly, classic titles are still able to top the charts. The shadow drop of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered saw millions of players buying and playing the game, revisiting the beloved world in a stunning updated version. While Forza Horizon 5 is not a remaster, the game continues to receive continuous updates like it does on the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. As the video game slate of 2025 keeps growing, let us know what you are playing right now and which games you are looking forward to for the rest of 2025.
