Razer, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of gaming hardware, announced during Computex 2018, that the company will now be distributing both their Razer Chroma RGB lighting technology and their Razer-made mechanical keyboard switches for third-party vendors.
Razer Chroma has proven to be immensely popular amongst PC players, offering enthusiasts with a plethora of highly customizable gear, including everything from keyboards and mice to RGB LED strips. The new partnership will bring Razer’s Chroma technology to brands such as MSI, NZXT, AMD, Thermaltake, Lian Li, Vertagear, Gigabyte, and Ducky.
“Gamers today own multiple RGB lighting-enabled devices, but they can’t enjoy a truly immersive experience because these devices don’t talk to each other,” said Razer Co-Founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan. “For the first time ever, we’re letting our partners tap into the Chroma ecosystem so we can bridge that gap for the benefit of all gamers.”
Razer’s new partnership also includes teaming up with Phillips Hue smart lights, opening the door to room scale lighting arrays for enthusiasts looking to go all out.
