CES 2024: Razer Announce Cutting-Edge Laptop Displays for New Blade Lineup

Razer is poised to reveal groundbreaking new display technologies for its upcoming 2024 generation of Blade 16 and Blade 18 gaming laptops at CES 2024 next week.

With CES 2024 only days away, it makes sense that the news about the latest tech would start to flow, this time from Razer. Starting things off strong, the gaming lifestyle brand has announced that their new Razer Blade 16 will feature the world’s first 16-inch OLED display with a staggering 240Hz refresh rate and 0.2ms response time, made possible through a collaboration with Samsung.

This combination of speed and OLED picture quality has never been achieved before in a gaming laptop. The display is also VESA ClearMR and DisplayHDR True Blac certified for minimal blur and maximum contrast, archiving a ClearMR 11000 rating for their new laptop screen. Hojung Lee, Head of Samsung’s Mobile Display Product Planning Team, detailed in the press release that they are “thrilled to work with Razer on bringing the first ever OLED 240Hz 16-inch display to gamers.”

Meanwhile, the Blade 18 aims to set a new bar for large gaming laptops with the first-ever 18-inch 4K 165Hz display. With features like 3ms Response Time, NVIDIA G-Sync Support and up to 100% of the DCI-P3 Color Space, Razer is looking to up their game up their mobile game, delivering a level of sharpness and fluidity that few 18″ laptop screens achieve.

Both displays have been Calman Verified, ensuring the most accurate colour right out of the box and feature a 16:10 aspect ratio with slim bezels boasting an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio for maximum immersion. Travis Furst, Head of Razer’s Notebook Division, said, “We are incredibly excited to unveil these world-first display technologies at CES 2024. The collaboration with Samsung Display on the Blade 16 and our commitment to delivering the best visual experience with the Blade 18 represents a new era in gaming laptops”
