The developers at Teyon have revealed a new justice-laden trailer for their upcoming Robocop: Rogue City, and it features a robotic reckoning from the FPS perspective.
Teyon is no stranger to movie-licensed games, with their latest endeavour being Terminator: Resistance, which received a mixed reception on Metacritic with 52% on the critical side, but notably a favourable 78% from the user side of things. Today, they’ve released a new gameplay trailer for their next movie-licensed venture, Robocop: Rogue City, which allows players behind the visor of the robotic Alex Murphy to deliver swift justice on the streets of Detroit. The trailer can be seen below.
First and foremost, Teyon had to capture the soul of the cult-classic film series, and they definitely did by bringing in the iconic voice of Robocop, Peter Weller. His voice is still laced with that ‘out of touch with humanity‘ robotic feel as he dismantles crime, picks up and tosses motorcycles, and brings down the gavel on lawbreakers. The trailer focuses on numerous things fans can hope to see, including the conflict Robocop has internally when psychologist Dr. Olivia Blanche asks whether he prefers the label Dad, Alex Murphy, or something more robotic.

There is high-octane FPS action on display here, complete with the ‘doom-walk’ the series protagonist is known for. Notably, there is a type of robotic sense that players can deploy, allowing Alex Murphy to trace blood trails, determine the proper way forward, and overall have a keener sense of surroundings than humans do (similar to Witcher sense from The Witcher 3).
While fans don’t have a release date yet, Teyon offers a release window. Robocop: Rogue City is scheduled to release in September, so fans won’t have to wait long to take to the streets of Detroit to bring the law to wrong-doers. Fans can also follow the official Teyon X account to stay in the loop for updates prior to release.
