Konami has released a new patch for the Silent Hill 2 remake, one that should supposedly fix the glaring issues the game has on PS5 Pro.
Despite a strong launch and stellar reviews, Silent Hill 2 had some undeniable problems on Sony’s newest upgraded systems – largely visual hitches and pop-in. Digital Foundry reported that the PS5 Pro improved framerates in both quality and performance modes but had significant image stability issues absent in the standard PS5, along with problems in PSSR upscaling.
The quickly released new patch seems to directly address those issues, while adding a host of other bug fixes and improvements to the game at large. Below, you can see the full patch notes, including those PS5 Pro upgrades. Of course, we don’t totally know yet if the changes in this patch fix the problems in their entirety.
