Spider-Man: Brand New Day just dropped a brand new trailer featuring the return of Bruce Banner and The Punisher, and a Peter Parker in crisis.
It has been a long five-year gap since the multiversal theatrics of No Way Home brought together three separate Peter Parkers to fight their biggest adversaries. Following those events, memories have been wiped, and many people who once knew Peter and his secret identity no longer know him. This includes his closest friends completely forgetting about the hero.
With that in mind, Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s first full-length trailer is here, and it shows the superhero enlisting Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher as Parker attempts to put his life back together after the events of No Way Home. Peter is also enduring mysterious physical challenges after reaching a notable point in the “spider life cycle,” and it appears he will undergo a kind of metamorphosis that will lead to “rebirth.” The trailer can be seen below.
For the first real look at the anticipated Brand New Day, Sony has clearly opted to reassure fans that this will be a follow-up to the previous three films, starting with Homecoming, and that it will still contain plenty of familiar elements from that trilogy. Brand New Day doesn’t just feature forgotten friends; allies like Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner will also make appearances, but it seems even Banner has forgotten about Peter. Spider-Man and Peter Parker’s wants will seemingly collide in the film, as Peter will have to make sacrifices for Spider-Man (and his friends) even if it breaks his heart.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will debut in theatres on July 31, and it is expected to be the beginning of another film series featuring Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
