Sony Pictures unveils first official poster Spider-Man: No Way Home teasing some iconic baddies.

Spider-Man: No Way Home receives its first official poster and is causing a lot of speculation and careful examination to find hints at possible appearances in the upcoming film. Many fans have taken to Twitter, sharing all their discoveries and interesting finds with theories.

This film already has the fans squirming to find out what is going to happen following the events from its previous film of the Tom Holland series, Spider-Man: Far From Home, which grossed $1.13 billion dollars in 2019 worldwide. When the first trailer leaked…I mean…was released in August, it broke records on YouTube with 355.5 million views in the first 24 hours.

They hype behind the film comes at a pivotal moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) because it is the first movie to introduce the ramifications of everything going wrong with the multiverse and how the worlds may collide.

Delving deeper into the poster that debuted today, it is clear that Holland’s Spider-Man is facing Doctor Octopus (aka Doctor Otto Octavius) who was already confirmed in the latest trailer that showed the return of Alfred Molina reprising his role of the character from Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man 2.

However, in the full, first poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home below, it shows Green Goblin on his famous Goblin Glider looking to strike Peter from behind. The yellow lightning bolt is most likely a reference to Electro, who was last brought to the big screen from Jamie Foxx’s unique performance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

There is also a dirt/sand trail behind Peter that can only be assumed to be another famous nemesis, Sandman. Sandman was last seen in Spider-Man 3 and was played by Thomas Hayden Church. It is hilarious to see the sand cloud trail is kind of leaving an “S-shaped” trail, potentially to confirm it is Sandman, or it is a hint at the creation of the “Sinister Six.”

With the introduction of Doctor Octopus, he originally put together Spider-Man’s greatest villains in the comics to form the supervillain group, the Sinister Six: Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Electro, Mysterio, Sandman and Kraven the Hunter. Of course, fans have already seen the Vulture and Mysterio from Holland’s Spider-Man films.

There have not been any more hints from this poster yet, but fans can expect to see and hear more about Spider-Man: No Way Home as the release date comes home to a theater near you on December 15 overseas and December 17 in North America. This will also be a purely exclusive as a theatrical release, unlike Black Widow.
